NATO 2019 Highlights Science and Technology Organization (NATO STO): Empowering the Alliance's Technological Edge

Abstract

This statement by NATO leaders goes to the heart of the mission of the NATO Science and Technology Organization (STO). Our role is to maintain NATOs scientic and technological advantage by generating, sharing, and utilizing advanced scientic knowledge, technological developments, and innovation to support the Alliances core tasks. This year, we have focused the Highlights report onto the work that the STO has recently completed in the eld of emerging and disruptive technologies, including areas such as cyber, articial intelligence, quantum and novel materials.
