Branch Depots Versus General Depots

Abstract

Depots are classified as to their organization, type of supply stored, mission, and command responsibility for their operation. When classified as to their organization, depots are either branch depots (stocking supplies stored by a single service) or general depots (stocking supplies stored by two or more services).
