Taming Delay and Convergence Speed in Tactical Autonomous Swarms Network Optimization

Abstract

In this proposed research program, our overarching goal is to develop an analytical foundation for low-delay and fastconverging distributed network control and optimization based on second-order information (SOI). Specifically, in this proposed research program, we will focus on the EMANE-based simulation development of momentum-based joint congestion control and multi-path routing. Our approach is based on the key idea of separating the queue-lengths from the weights in the back-pressure-based approach, and then uses a weight-updating scheme that utilizes only one more time-slot of memory of the weight change history.
