Real Time Computer Vision

Abstract

The SBIR Phase II effort developed computer vision and machine learning algorithms that exploits algebraic constraints on the background appearance as well as motion to differentiate foreground regions from background. By incorporating sensor motion with the appearance model, the developed approach is able to handle both static and moving cameras. The Phase II effort includes; development of background separation algorithms and enabling technologies, development of software, and quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the technologies using real-world data.
