Aircrew Vision Standards Research Automated Vision Test (AVT)

Abstract

Technology has changed dramatically since vision screening tests currently used by the United States Air Force (USAF), Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) were adopted post-WWII, and vision screening standards and technologies must be updated accordingly. A collaborative research team from three nations was established through The Technical Cooperation Program (TTCP) to pursue research concerning aircrew vision standards.
