Ad Hoc Working Group on the Modern Volunteer Army

Abstract

The Working Group has addressed its efforts to three main concerns: 1. criteria and and goals for an adequate Army program of research and development in the behavioral and social sciences in the 1970's and beyond; 2. improved organization and procedures for implementing the needed research programs; 3. main directions of research and development that are especially likely to have high value and usefulness for developing an effective and responsible volunteer Army.
