NRL Shock-Fracture Test for Welded Joints in Armor

Abstract

This report presents the development of a laboratory scale shock-fracture test for armor and welded joints in armor. The shock-fracture test is especially suited as a rapid quantitative development test which should increase the speed of testing and provide a number of short cuts in development studies of the welding of armor.
