High Performance Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICS) Based on Advanced SiGe BiCMOS

Abstract

The goal of the UCSD T-MUSIC program was to develop state-of-the-art linear and mixed-signal circuits using advanced SiGe BiCMOS technologies developed at TowerJazz Semiconductor. Mixed-signal circuits designed as a result of this effort include a 30 GHz VCO/PLL, a110-140 GHz divider and a high-dynamic range ADC. UCSD also designed additional circuits which are critical to DoD and can result in a jump-start to the defense industry. The circuits are 6-100 GHz LNAs and PAs (drivers) with low-noise and high linearity.
