The Output Current of a Nonlinear Device

Abstract

A voltage consisting of a cosine term superposed on a steady term is applied to the input of a nonlinear device. The output current of the device is zero for negative voltages, and proportional to the nth power of the voltage when it is positive, the exponent n being 1, 3/2, or 2.
