Results of Flight Test on Components of the Data Relay Navigation System

Abstract

A short history of the Data Relay Navigation System is given together with a description of the components. Photographs of the received picture in the aircraft while in flight are included and a generally favorable comparison is drawn between it and the transmitted picture. The antenna collector system used on the aircraft in conjunction with the 1000-Mc link ground transmitter is discussed from the standpoint of its limitation.
