Combat Information Center Communications System

Abstract

A system has been derived for monitoring the radio circuits entering a modern shipboard Combat Information Center (CiC) as an alternative to the present system using loudspeakers. The background of noise from the speakers, with the attendant confusion and mental fatigue resulting therefrom, has been alleviated by use of a multichannel pocket receiver using hearing-aid-style earpieces.
