Analysis of Factors Affecting Turbine Engine Reliability

Abstract

The R and M problems of gas turbine engines were examined in a report entitled Investigation and Analysis of Reliability/Maintainability Problems Associated With Army Aircraft Engines. This study examines the Causal Factors which were identified as contributing to the R and M problems on current turbine engines and identifies and quantifies potential remedial actions which could improve future engine R and M characteristics.
