Analysis of Flow and Heat Transfer in Small Arms

Abstract

A computer model of the pressure distribution and flow characteristics in small arms barrels has been developed. This model shows the sensitivity of the pressure history and launch velocity of surface concentration density of deterrent, flame front velocity, and projectile base heating.
