Aids for the Study of Electromagnetic Blackout

Abstract

The report is a compendium of selected graphs, charts, equations, and relations useful in the analysis of electromagnetic blackout caused by nuclear explosions. Information is provided on weapon outputs, ionization source functions, deionization, absorption, phase effects, and noise. The report also contains sections listing atmospheric properties, physical constants, definition of symbols, and a glossary of frequently used terms.
