Underground Ammunition Sotrage. Blast Propagation in the Tunnel System. Report V A. Connected Chamber Storage Blast Load on Doors in Three Sites

Abstract

This report reviews the result from airblast measurements in models of three particular types of underground ammunition storage sites. The use of simple scaling relationship are shown to reproduce the blast data reasonably well for a wide range of geometrical parameters. One of the models is geometrically similar to a large scale test site in rock and direct comparison of the model and full scale data shows the blast reducing effects of wall roughness.
