An Implicit-Function Theorem for Generalized Variational Inequalities.

Abstract

An implicit-function theorem is established for a multifunction consisting of the sum of a differentiable function and a maximal monotone operator. Applications to nonlinear complementarity problems, mathematical programming problems, and economic equilibria are pointed out. An application to the analysis of a general Newton method for solving variational inequalities is treated in some detail. (Author)
