Investigation of an Automated Materials Handling System Using a GPSS Simulation.

Abstract

This is a report of an investigation of the validity of a conceptual automated material handling system with tool, machine, and transfer mechanism failures. The development of a modular GPSS simulation model is used to study and analyze the system. The modular design makes it a good basis for construction of more complex models of larger similar physical concepts. The larger models are easily generated through the use of macros. (Author)
