Chondroma of the Tongue.

Abstract

Chondroma is a benign neoplasm of cartilage which occurs rarely in the oral cavity. It is so uncommon in the tongue that only sixteen cases have been reported in the literature. This paper reports a rare case of chondroma in the right, posterior, ventral surface of the tongue. Possible etiology is discussed, and the method of treatment described.
