An Experimental Investigation of Incompressible Flow over Delta and Double-Delta Wings.

Abstract

An experimental study of the flow over delta and double-delta wings was conducted in a 7' x 10' low speed wing tunnel. The configurations tested were AR-3 and AR-4 delta wings and the AR-4 wing which was modified with AR-1 and AR-2 strakes attached to form double-delta wings. Pressure measurements, surface flow visualization, and vortex core visualization studies were conducted over a wide range of angles of attack.
