Abstract

The purpose of this study is to establish the best overall plan of development for the water and related land resources of the Big Black River Basin and to determine the best means to accomplish this development. The aim is to determine both the short and long range needs within the basin for navigation, water supply, flood control, recreation, pollution abatement, hydroelectric power, irrigation, and fish and wildlife conservation; and to formulate a comprehensive plan of improvement to satisfy these needs in a timely and economical manner.
