Abstract

This TOP provides a method of evaluating the performance characteristics of tank gun control systems. It covers azimuth indicator backlash and accuracy, turret friction, gun balance, manual handcrank force, manual response ratio, weapon and sighting system backlash, power controller, static stability, laying and tracking, slope operations, and firing tests. It includes safety checklist. It is not applicable to firing on the move.
