Acoustic Pressure at an Infinite Plate with Parallel Stiffeners.

Abstract

The acoustic pressure in water due to a plane vave incident on an elastic plate is considered. The plate is backed by air and by an infinite array of parallel stiffeners (or mechanical resonators). The acoustic pressure on the plate is calculated as a function of the spacing between the stiffeners or resonators, the plate thickness, the angle of incidence, and frequency. (Author)
