Laser Light Scattering Studies of Fluids.

Abstract

The object of this work was to use the methods of elastic and inelastic light scattering to study critical point fluctuations and to carry through theoretical analysis to embrace the new experimental results in an improved theory of critical point phenomena. A principal focus of the present work was to study the fuluctuations in a field. To this end, a contour of constant scattered intensity was measured near the critical point and the results were related to scaling law, parametric model descriptions of the critical region.
