Path testing.

Abstract

Microwave path testing is necessary to confirm path performance predictions, field surveys and to optimize transmission quality by determining the best antenna heights to minimize fading due to reflections. Path testing is the most accurate method for identifying path obstructions, confirming adequacy of map details and for precluding engineering errors. The objective of this report are to emphasize the importance of path testing and to provide a brief description of the path testing techniques being used today. (Author)
