Investigation of Materials for Ship-to-Shore Low Pressure Steam Hoses.

Abstract

Causes of failure of ship-to-shore low pressure rubber-lined steam hoses were investigated. At the present state of the art, the average life for a steam hose is about 6 months to one year. Suggested operating procedures to obtain maximum service life are offered. (Author)
