The Effect of Spanwise Gust Variations on the Transfer Function of an Aircraft Model with One Degree of Freedom,

Abstract

Charts are derived for the determination of the power spectrum parameters A and N sub o for vertical acceleration, at an aircraft's centre of gravity, due to atmospheric turbulence. The method takes account of spanwise variations in gust loading, and so overcomes the paradox of an infinite N sub o which is found with a one-dimensional gust model. (Author)
