Developing Tradeoff Criteria for Use in Reviewing Maintenance Trainer. Phase 1,

Abstract

Task Identification Matrices (TIMs) were used in this study to document the tasks associated with organizational level maintenance of 4 systems on the S3A. These TIMs were used to evaluate maintenance trainers used in training S3A technicans. In general, the trainers provided very little practice in the skills required for maintenance. A Phase II study to develop training system specifications for the systems studied, is recommended. These specifications would support the development of effective trainers at costs significantly below the costs of the existing trainers. (Author)
