Very-High-Frequency Aerosat Airborne Terminal.

Abstract

This report summarizes the result of a study aimed at defining the airborne VHF terminal for the experimental AEROSAT program. The system consists of a 22-channel VHF transceiver for full-duplex operation. Provisions are made for voice, data, and surveillance modulation. The all-solid-state system develops a power output of 150 watts. The system noise temperature is 1136K. (Author)
