The Quasi-Near Fields Above a Conducting Slab.

Abstract

Approximate expressions for the quasi-near fields in air produced by electric and magnetic antennas located within a conducting slab have been obtained by applying the quasi-static and quasi-near approximations to the basic Sommerfeld integrals. The resulting expressions are particularly applicable to subsurface to air propagation for the shallow sea case. (Author)
