MTI Output Detection Statistics for Target Plus Log-Normal Clutter.

Abstract

We have derived the probability densities and detection statistics at the output of a quadrature-channel, two pulse canceller for the case when the input to the canceller consists of a target return immersed in log-normally distributed clutter. Analytical expressions are obtained for the probability density distribution, and these are shown to be significantly different from the log-normal or any other standard distribution.
