Scanning Cursor Techniques II.

Abstract

The objective of the program was to convert a successfully demonstrated transmissive scanning cursor to operate in a reflective mode, for use on opaque cartographic manuscripts. The transmissive cursor,. employing a linear photosensitivie array for feature sensing, was designed for aided-track tracing of backlighted material, and provides automatic corrections for tracing errors when digitizing cartographic materials.
