The Preparation of Substituted Allyllithium Reagents from Allyltin Compounds by Transmetalation.

Abstract

The reaction of substituted allyltrimethyltin compounds with methyllithium in tetrahydrofuran gave substituted allyllithium reagents. Reactions of the latter with trimethylchlorosilane, iodomethane (or benzyl bromide) and carbonyl compounds were examined. (Author)
