Error Estimates for the Approximation of an Unknown Constant Coefficient in a Partial Differential Equation.

Abstract

A priori error estimates are derived for the approximation of an inverse problem in which it is desired to identify an unknown constant coefficient in a one space dimensional parabolic or two space dimensional elliptic partial differential equation whose general form is known. (Author)
