Manoeuvre Limitations of Combat Aircraft.

Abstract

This report discusses the phenomena which limit the manoeuvrability of combat aircraft and the relationship between these phenomena and the aircraft's physical configuration characteristics. The procedures available to the engineer to determine and optimise the aircraft manoeuvre boundaries are presented. to produce this report the working group studied 15 aircraft of the NATO forces. In this, the unclassified version of the report, the results are generalised. In the NATO confidential version of the report, AR-155B, detailed data on the aircraft are provided.
