Blast Loading of Construction Materials and Closure Designs.

Abstract

Results are presented for the blast loading of construction materials and closure designs for basement shelters. Blast loading histories and the corresponding panel displacements are presented for three types of closure designs: plywood sheet panels, wood beam panels, and plywood stressed skin panels. Ultimate failure loads were determined for the three closure designs. (Author)
