The Nuclear Thermal Effects on Humidity Saturated Composite Materials.

Abstract

The primary objective of this program was the development of composite design data in the area of nuclear hardness after humidity saturation. Over 4,000 specimens were fabricated and tested during this program. It was demonstrated that humidity saturation substantially lowers the nuclear thermal flash damage threshold of organic composites. (Author)
