The primary purpose of the experimental crack sealing discussed herein was to determine the performance of various sealing compounds under severe arctic conditions. It was also desired to determine the effects of variations in width, depth, and shape of cut when preparing the cracks for sealing, and also the difficulties and approximate costs involved.
