Multioscillator Laser Gyro Study.

Abstract

Parameter variation experiments were conducted and results are reported on the Litton IR and D developed LG2432 multioscillator laser gyro. The purpose of this collection of data is in its intended use as an aid in the advancement of a developing multioscillator theoretical model. The model predicts both the output intensities and oscillation frequencies of the various ring laser modes in this device. Therefore, the parameter variation experiments are concerned with the intensities and frequencies of the laser modes as a function of several laser gyro environmental parameters. Results from the refined theory and the correlation with the experimental data are discussed. (Author)
