Electromagnetic Anisotropy.

Abstract

Two new precision laser interferometric tests of the postulates of special relativity are described. Two independent frequency stabilized lasers situated on the circumference of a rotatable platform beat together at the center. A variation in the beat frequency as the table rotates can be interpreted as a one way anisotropy in the speed of light. A test for a round trip anisotropy is made by monitoring the cavity length change as the laser orientation change. This can also be interpreted as a mass anisotropy in space. (Author)
