Sea King Mk. 50 Helicopter Sonar Dynamics Study. A Simplified Control Systems Mathematical Model

Abstract

A mathematical model, formulating a simplified version of the control systems used in the Sea King Mk. 50 helicopter, is described. The model represents the overall control laws and systems used in the aircraft, although it does not represent each individual element of the control systems. The control systems model, together with models of the aerodynamics/kinematics and sonar cable/transducer, form the complete model for the Sea King Mk. 50 helicopter/sonar dynamics study. Sample results showing the flight behaviour of the complete model are included.
