Tests of a Lightweight 200 kW MHD Channel and Diffuser.

Abstract

A 200 kW lightweight MHD generator channel and diffuser were tested over a regime of 235 individual firings of the open cycle combustor systems. The diagonal conducting wall channel delivered full rated power with no interelectrode breakdown. Vibration measurements indicated no fatigue of the channel structure. (Author)
