Computer-Based Interactive Flight Training.

Abstract

Computer-based methods were developed for describing the salient features of pilot performance on complex flight tasks. These methods extend and generalize a new approach to performance analysis expressly designed to mirror the procedures used by expert instructors in analyzing simulator flight data and diagnosing trainee errors. A data base for guiding the development of this instructor model of performance analysis was provided by a set of ILS approach tasks flown on the ORLY simulator. (Author)
