Composition of the Active Fleet, U.S. Navy, 1961-1985.

Abstract

This paper presents in tabular and graphic form all ships assigned to the U.S. Navy active fleet from 1961 through 1985. All additions to and substractions from the fleet are listed by name, hull number, and class. Initial operational capability dates for each class are included along with the displacement of an individual ship of each class. Graphs present the average ages of each category and the age distributions.
