General Purpose Least-Squares Adjustment of IPS Data,

Abstract

Many of the IPS survey projects can easily be designed to form an interconnected network which lends itself to adjustment by the least-squares method. While a rigorously modeled IPS adjustment procedure has not yet been developed, DMA has been using a general purpose least-squares adjustment program for several years on IPS networks. The technique and results are discussed. (Author)
