Performance and Operational Characteristics of AEDC/VKF Tunnels A, B, and C

Abstract

Tunnels A, B, and C of the von Karman Gas Dynamics Facility, Arnold Engineering Development Center, represent state-of-the-art supersonic and hypersonic wind tunnels covering a Mach number range from 1.5 to 10. This report describes their operation and presents detailed performance data for all three tunnels, including practical operational limits.
