Measurement of the Attenuation of Experimental Earmuffs for the Mk 4 Flight Helmet.

Abstract

Acoustic attenuation measurements have been made on three pairs of earmuffs including samples of alternatives to the B2 production shells used on the Mk 4 flight helmet, using both the objective and semi-objective methods of test. In addition, an example of the B2 production earmuffs was also tested. The differences between the results are discussed with reference to the relative merits of the earmuffs and the reliability of the test methods. (Author)
