Standard Method of Test for Constant-Load-Amplitude Fatigue Crack Growth Rates in Marine Environments.

Abstract

The determination of fatigue crack growth rates in marine environments is known to be influenced by numerous experimental factors. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate a standard method of test to assure uniformity of test results. This report describes recommended procedures for the measurement of fatigue crack growth rates for metallic materials tested in marine corrosion environments. (Author)
