Cultural Resources Survey of Fall River Lake, Kansas.

Abstract

From January 1979 until July 1979 an Executive Order 11593 Survey was conducted in the Fall River Reservoir Area. The data has been compiled on 86 prehistoric and 75 historic sites, as well as the pre-1947 bridging. The settlement patterns have been delineated especially for the Archaic to the Great Bend Aspect Components and that data was compared to similar data gathered in the Smithville Lake Area of Northwestern Missouri. Finally, recommendations for the future protection of these resources are presented. (Author)
