Feasibility Analysis in Small Hydropower Planning.

Abstract

The Hydrologic Engineering Center, Corps of Engineers, has prepared a manual entitled 'Feasibility Studies for Small Scale Hydropower Additions'. The manual provides technical data and procedural guidance for the systematic appraisal of the viability of potential small hydropower additions and focuses upon the concepts, technology, and economic and financial issues unique to these additions. This paper presents the significant findings and conclusions that became evident from the studies performed during preparation of the manual. (Author)
