The Caribbean -- Implications for the US Army.

Abstract

A survey of historical, political, social and economic forces and trends in the Caribbean. Thesis is that Caribbean is and will continue to be a volatile region which has the potential for major security, political and economic crises for the US. Thus, the US Army must focus attention on the region--for contingency planning and also in development assistance. (Author)
